EEG-correlates of Response Characteristics of Different Styles of Music in the Context of Individual Personality Traits
The study examines differences in the bioelectric activity of the human cerebral cortex with distinctive features depending on the relationship of music offered for listening. The association between the level of extraversion, situational anxiety, rigidity and a choice of musical style was found experimentally. It is shown that changes in brain activity during the perception of music are defined not only by its style, but also by individual-typological features.
Key words: individual-typological features, EEG- correlates, extraversion, situational anxiety, rigidity, musical style.
