The Party and Political Work in Evacuation Hospitals in the Altai Territory during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945
On the basis of archival materials the basic principles of the organization, contents, forms and methods of the party political work in the evacuation hospitals, deployed in the Altai Territory during the Great Patriotic War materials are analyzed. It was deputy head of the political section of hospitals (military commissar), Communist party and Komsomol organizations who organized the political work in hospitals. Political work played a big role in building patriotism, maintaining high morale and professional military skills of the Red Army soldiers in evacuation hospitals. Political work was characterized by singleness of purpose and unity of forms and methods used. Its contents were determined by the objectives of wartime. In the evacuation hospitals of the Altai Territory there were practiced the following forms of political work: citizenship training, oral and visual propaganda, organization of artistic and cultural event for soldiers, patronage enterprises, socialist competition and many others.
