The Biysk`s Jewish Community in the First Half of the ХХ Century

In this article the author characterizes relations between the Soviet state and Jewish communities of the Western Siberia on the example of the Biysk Jewish community. The author analyzes the processes of registration the Biysk Jewish community within the framework of the soviet law. The grounds for safekeeping cultural and religious Jewish traditions are described in the article. In the middle of the XX century the religion policy of the Soviet government concerning some confessions has become liberal. However, Jewish communities still suffered from some difficulties in registration procedures. One can mark some different attitude of state structures of all kinds to problems of religious communities. According to the author, that was common thing in the Soviet Union in 20-30s of the XX century. In spite of numerous prohibitions declared by the Soviet laws, the Biysk Jewish community succeeded to maintain the necessary climate for registration.
