The Shells of Mollusks Dentalium and Corbicula in Burial Ground Tuzovskie Bugri 1 (Tuzov Mounds)
This work considers the decorations made from the shells of mollusks Corbicula and Dentalium which were found in the ground burials Tuzovskie Bugri 1 situated in a distance of 30 km to the south of Barnaul, in the region of the Ob right-bank. The shells were found in seven burial grounds.
The findings of penetrations in a truncated cone form made from the Dentalium shells and the pendants made from the Corbicula folds denote the relations of Altai population with the Central Asiatic region which could be mediated and could be proceeded by the contacts with the people of Ust-Narumskaya and Botaiskaya cultures or they could be a result of people migration from Central Asia and Eastern Kazakhstan to Altai.
Key words: ground, ground burial, shells of Corbicula and Dentalium mollusks, late Stone Age, Eneolithe, Early Bronze Age, reconstruction of ethno-cultural processes, migration.
