Forest Management Work in the Altai Mountain District (1840-1894)

This article considers one of the insufficiently explored problems in the history of forestry in the Altai Mountain District - forest management in 1840-1894. The author shows technology and results of forest management work carried out by employees of the District Forest Part. Causes of low productivity of this work are analyzed.
