The dissent economic zone of the tourist and recreation type "Turquose Katun" (Birusovaya Katun) is one of the most dynamically developed and the largest investment project not only in the Altai Region but in Russia as well. Since 2002 ten new archeological monuments have been revealed in this place. The funeral memorial settlement and religious complexes referring to the different historical epochs from late Stone Age (Neolithic epoch) to the Middle Age have been researched here. We can certify that the archeological microdistrict "Turquose Katun" (Birusovaya Katun) has a specific character connected with the availability of carst enclosures in this region.

Among the synchronous monuments more similar analogues can be seen among religious complexes of the Altai-Sayan Upland and Mountainous and Forest Urals. Taking into account the specific character of the microdistrict it is necessary to reconsider the algorithm of the archeological monuments search and also to plan the field excavations and to carry out the cameral processing of the artefacts.
