District city Mariinsk in the second half of the 19th - beginning of the 20th

City Mariinsk in the second half of the 19th - beginning of the 20th was characteristic district city of Western Siberia. The status of city Mariinsk has received a 1856. Socio-economic development of Mariinsk proceeded under influence of processes of the statement and development of capitalism in Siberia. The population of city is quickly tall, by reaching 25000 person in 1913. Mariinsk it is possible to attribute to cities of a mixed type. Among occupations of the city-dwellers a significant place borrowed an agriculture, work on gold mines and handicraft. The industry of Mariinsk was advanced poorly. Growing on the base of handicraft, it specialized on processing of agricultural raw material and satisfied only local needs. Advanced in city there was the trade. This promoted the fact, that through Mariinsk supply of significant region gold minescame true. Specifity of development of city in middle of the 19th determined its situation as of the centre gold mining region, and in beginning of the 20th as of t
he railway station on Transsiberian highway.
