Some functional and cognitive aspects of word meaning are analyzed in the article. Attention is mainly paid to those phenomena that deal with such notions as 'form', 'concept', 'sense' and their interrelations inside the word. Being a complicated sign and symbol the word can modules the text cognitive and other spheres. Since the text is the complex sign and the specific 'multitude' itself and constructs word function and sense means. They have their own features in the poetry and prose especially in the traditional narrative. The author proposes some possible ways of classifying such phenomena as word text model methods and demonstrates them using a number of examples.
