Winter School for Young Researchers from Russia and Kazakhstan (Barnaul, Altai State University, 26– 30 January 2016)
The article dwells on the results of the Winter School for young researchers from Russia and Kazakhstan (Barnaul, 26–30 January 2015). This project appeared on the background of actively developing relations between Altai State University and universities in Central Asia. In 2015, Altai School of Political Studies held two scientific events devoted to the cross-border cooperation of the regions (including the historical aspects of the topic). In this regard, the organizers of the event decided to discuss this topic in relation to the Russian- Kazakh cooperation, inviting young researchers (mainly undergraduates and graduate students) from Kazakhstan and Russia. The School received 18 papers from Almaty (Kazakh Academy of Labour and Social Affairs, the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, KIMEP University), Astana (Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov), from Semipalatinsk (Finance and Economics College) and Ust-Kamenogorsk (East Kazakhstan State University named after S. Amanzholov, Kazakh-American Free University). Later came 16 more reports of young researchers working in Barnaul. Participants listened to the experts of the School; held a contest of reports and role-playing game. As a result of the work, all participants received certificates.
