Indo-Iranian Religious Complex of the Worldview of Andronov Cultural-Historical Community Tribes: Historical Background and Actual Interpretations
The article deals with the particular reconstruction of worldview historical and cultural community of Andronov tribes in the identification of the Indo-Iranian elements of the complex of beliefs and practices. The significant emphasis is made on the formation and development of this field of science as a separate methodological line of investigation. The article presents a detailed historiographical analysis of the works of Russian scientists, who linked the formation of Andronov cultural-historical community with the migration of Indo-Iranian peoples. A detailed analysis is given to the results of long-term research of E.E. Kuzmina, which are reflected in a number of her works devoted to the reconstruction of worldview of Andronov’s culture with the help of the Indo-Iranian mythology. The paper includes the analysis of sources in the works of modern researchers, such as Y.I. Mikhailov, I.V. Kovtun and others. Particular attention is paid to the discussion of the concept and special interpretations of some of the images of art and the funeral rites of “Andronov culture”. The work is comclud-ed with the prospects of using the Indo-Iranian religious complex in the study of worldview of Andronov.
