Historiography of the Cabinet’s Land-Rent Policy in the Altai Mining District at the Turn of XX–XXI Centuries
The authors consider in detail the current historiography about studying the Cabinet’s of His Imperial Majesty land-rent policy in the Altai Mining district, analyze the achievements of various researchers, as well as consider the historiographic results. The main result that emerges from the study of the scientific literature is the acknowledgment of the current historiography connection with the historiography of pre-revolutionary and Soviet periods. It is reflected in the trends of factual data accumulation, in study of the Altai’s lease in the context of other research, comparative description of the Cabinet’s and state’s land-rent branches. Along with these publications it can be traced the continuation from Soviet historiography to the different approach of the themes’ study expressed in modeling and systematic analyzing of various aspects of the Altai industrial and territorial development. Continuity in research is also accounted for by the fact that some researchers continued the work begun in the Soviet period. The authors believe that the historiography stage considered in this article is characterized by the accumulation of the prerequisites for a qualitative change in the historiography situation after 2010 when the task of land- rent system research throughout its existence was set up and implemented for the first time.
