The perception of Loud Music by Students of Different Specialities
This article deals with the problem of perception of loud music in an environment of today’s youth. The purpose of the study is to identify the attitude to loud music and the adequacy of perception of the volume in the Russian youth environment. Research objectives: 1) identify preferred volume level 2) determine the adequacy degree of the perception of the volume level; 3) identify emotional evaluation of volume in music pieces of different volume; 4) analyze the relationship between the preferred volume level and perception of music pieces. The subject of study combines the following indicators of music perception: musical preferences, adequacy degree of the perception of the volume level, the emotional value of music pieces. The hypothesis of the study is the assumption that the preferred volume level, its awareness and the adequacy degree of the perception of the level volume depends on specialization. It is concluded that there are differences in the perception of volume level and loud music by students getting music, physical-technical and military education. It is assumed that the obtained results can be explained by analyzing the structure of individuality of young people.
