Status of Ethnic Russian Population in the Kazakhstan Republic in 1990-2000s (North-Eastern Region)
The article explains changes in the status of Russian population in the north-eastern region of the Kazakhstan Republic during 1991-2000s. Evolution of social status and transformation of the role played by the Russian population in economy, the reasons for such changes (policy leadership, systemic crisis of post-soviet period, archetypes of mental behavior of Russian ethnic group), as well as possible consequences of such trends is studied.
