The results of morphologicall researching, classification and typology of belt plates from burial ground Stepushka-I are published in the article. The authors have differentiated the collection of artifacts which may be divided into 13 types and they have identified their relative dating. Most types of metal belt plates have been correlated with the II^th-V^th centuries AD. Similar samples have been founded in the territory of the Eastern Trans-Baikal region and at Tuva. The belt plates of type 8 are the one of the chronological indicators which is correlated with IV^th-V^thcenturies AD. Studied archaeological materials will be used to refine the dividing Bulan-Koby culture into periods.
