Local Self-Government and Business

The article considers influence of local self-government on business development in Siberia. The authors place emphasis on formation of innovative business and in this regard compare business development in municipalities in the Western Europe countries, the USA and Russia. Both positive and negative samples of a favorable enterprise situation are analyzed.

Key words: local self-government, business, innovation, civil society, social responsibility of business.
