Two-Dimensional Nonlinear Rayleigh-Taylor Instability in the Ionosphere F-region with Diffusive Disturbance Damping

In this paper two-dimensional nonlinear Rayleigh-Taylor instability is investigated considering diffusion damping of irregularities. Small-scale irregularities of electron density generated by the instability development can be responsible for F-spread, visible by the ground-based stations.
