Requirements Imposed to the Verdict according to the Criminal Procedural Code of the RSFSR (1922, 1923, 1960) and the Criminal Procedural Code of the RF (2001)
According to the Criminal Procedural Code of the RF the verdict should be legal, reasonable and justified (clause 297). The Criminal Procedural Code of the RF demands more in comparison with the Criminal Procedural Code of the RSFSR concerning observance of law in administering justice which expresses in the correspondence of verdict to the RF Constitution and to established principles and regulations of international law. Comparative analysis of the norms of the Criminal Procedural Code of RSFSR (1960) and the Criminal Procedural Code of RF (2001) allowed making a conclusion that such important requirement as motivation should be fixed in the clause 297 of the Criminal Procedural Code of the RF, which was fixed in the Criminal Procedural Code of the RSFSR in the clause 301.
