Sharp degradation change of speech culture, including the use of abnormal accentual versions in social spheres of speech, is traditionally in society. But isn't it the fault of orthologists. The author of the article thinks that special editions for radio and television journalists, recommending only one of two equal accentual versions co-existing in the language, should take as a principle on determination of progressive accentual tendencies, but not "the unity of opinion of the authors and the editor" and not "the inquest of the informants, 9 thousand, with the help of Internet".

The article is devoted of the analysis of the words, given in "The Dictionary of stresses", accentual standard of which is not based on the inner logic of the language development.
