The interaction of selenium with n-alkanes and the synthesis of selenides of metals in liquid alkanes
The solubility of two modifications of selenium in alkanes and influence of temperature (298-493 K interval), character of alkanes have been investigated. Curves of the metal selenium solubility in alkanes in x (1/T) - y (ln XSe) coordinates have been plotted. It was shown that curves of the amorphous selenium solubility in alkanes with even and odd number of carbon atoms are different.
The thermal degradation, on varied concentration of Se8 in n-heptane, n-octane, n-nonane was studied by ebullioscopy.
Crystal selenides were synthesised by copper, zinc, cadmium, mercury, aluminium carboxylates and selenium interaction in n-nonane, n-decane, n-undecane. The influence temperature, time of the synthesis, ultraviolet rays and alkane character on the product yield were studied.
