The article deals with the problem of direct democracy in the local government system with is a pressing issue of the constitutional in Russia. The author sets himself to define and describe the subject of direct democracy in the local government system. To achieve the goal the author analyses the corresponding constitutional standavels of the Russian Federation, federal laws and literature on points of law.
