Substantial and structural-functional laws are considered in the article by analysing of different notions about subject of historical sociology. Then a history is examined. An author proved that it consists of replacement of generations. In connection with this common laws of sociology are historical laws too. The examination of these laws joins sociology and history together into organic unity. Thus, substantial and structural-functional laws are the subject of historical sociology. And ascension from empirically concrete to abstract and from abstract to historically concrete is its method.
