In the work, based on the alternative set theory axiomatic, the existence of set prolongations of a sequence through the boundaries of an arbitrary cut of N is studied. The necessary and sufficient conditions for existence of such prolongation are obtained. Also a question of equivalence of two definitions of a limit is proved, one of these definitions based on an existence of the studied prolongation.
