Priests and Сlergymen of Altai (Mining) District: Experience of Analysis with the Use of Database Technology
Within the framework of the research the creation was made of the problem-oriented database using DBMS MS Access. Source database is made up of cleric records. The database objects included “the minister”, “the minister’s achievement record”, “ the minister’s encouragement”, “the minister’s other occupation”, “the punishment of the minister”, “being a Minister under investigation”, “a sideline attendant”, “a family member of the minister” and “occupation of family member of the minister”. The data on the minister include his surname, first and patronymic name, the year of birth and date of death, status of the origin, which school he finished, in what year, and whether his education was complete and also the information on the relative from the clergymen environment. The achievements record of the minister includes the name of the parish, the date of appointment and position. For the minister with an avocation the indication was made of what, when and where he did. Information on awards and incentives to outstanding ministers include the date, type of promotion, and the wording of the reason from the source. For the ministers who had committed the offence, the fixation was made of the type of offense, the type of punishment, the wording of the sentence, given the source, date of punishment, and for those brought to the investigation — the kind of the offense, the date of commencement and completion of the investigation and whether the defendant was finally convicted. Data on family of the priests and clergymen include the name, of the family member, type of relation, the year of birth, and information about the occupation. The description is given following the wording of the source for a particular year.
