Latent Structural Analysis in the Study of Cognitive Affect Regulation Disturbances in Evaluation Situations in Anti-Vital Behavior Orientation in Adolescence
The article presents the possibility of using latent structure analysis in the study of disturbances in cognitive regulation of affect in evaluation situations at anti-vital orientation in adolescence behavior (in the program SPSS AMOS 20). The authors demonstrate the significant correspondence of theoretical and empirical models of the phenomenon considering interactions of latent variables and their indicators and relevant statistical deviations. Anti-vital adolescents behavior is showed to be a systemic phenomenon, where not so much the individual factors (depressive symptoms, anti-vital experiences, fear of evaluation) increase the risk of suicidal behavior, but a cognitive disturbances of these parameters, as well as secondary accumulation of negative affect in the system of mental activity, the effect of loop “feedback” (cyclic “self-empowerment” of increasing disorganization and reduce the emotions and behavior mediation in stressful situations). Application of latent structural model not only made it possible to determine the causal relationship of the parameters, but also to show how the variables interaction strengthens or weakens the effect of other indicators. This method is effective for the study of complex systemic phenomena.
