The Peculiarities of Protest Movements of Immigrants in Modern France
The article is devoted to the peculiarities of protest behavior of French people who came from former immigrants at the present stage. There are examined the main factors causing the protest, as well as the forms of protest movements associated with immigration. The main attention is paid to the fact that in France, at the beginning of XXI century, the descendants of former migrant workers have become permanent residents. Their needs, requirements and social impact as a group have increased substantially, thus they have become active participants of the political process. It resulted in the formation of protest movements of French people with immigrant background, what is more, nowadays they are among the most dynamic protest social and demographic groups in that country. The results of the research can be applied to other studies of theoretical concepts of political protest and protest movements in France and Western Europe. Leaders of political parties, trade unions and political movements can use the results of the research.
