Zoning as a Reflection of Phased Altai Mountain Forming
In the article various geomorphological zonality of Altai Mountain relief is characterized including the following features: spatial zoning of differently oriented mountain systems distribution, highlands and their relative altitude; the completeness of the execution of mining space (mountainous), uplift and subsidence structures morphologically reflected in the relief, distribution pattern of the water flows. Comparative geomorphological comparison of the mountain relief in various zone types is carried out. The evidences of a long alternation of the Altai Mountains relief polygenic development as a derivative of contradictory processes endo- and exogenesis are proved. The directions of the further investigations on the mentioned perspective themes are planned. The possibilities of use of the provided mountainous relief integrated zone analysis for the forecasting of natural hazards are considered. This allows allocating on the examined mountain territory locations of the probable development of certain natural hazards, not only to determine the possible combinations of catastrophic processes and their consequences, but also to predict the corresponding events.
