Conception of the Human Being and Nature Unity in the Chinese Church Architecture
This article attempts to define the concept of human being and nature unity in the cult architecture of China. In the context of this problem the issues of the relations harmonization are actualized within the system «Human Being — Nature». The author has proved that the main element in the cult architecture of China is the principle of balance and harmony of the architectural forms and the natural landscape, their concord to the ideological and artistic conception and functional purpose. It is indicated that the construction in China has been induced with the religious and cosmological sense. The article shows that the construction has been in genetic relationship and integral unity with the state institutions and the institution of the emperor’s supreme power. The cult architecture plays an important role in the historical and cultural heritage of China. The works of architecture as the existing for a long time material objects possess material and spiritual functions and take a significant part in the history. That is why the particular attention has been paid to the main traits of the cult architecture and to the traditional view of Chinese people on the architecture as on the reflection of macrocosm.
