Value Orientations of Bailiffs
The author analyzes the value orientation of bailiffs. The value orientations of bailiffs are considered in conjunction with the locus of personal control. Bailiff’s work is connected with different stressful situations and specialists must be able to cope with them to succeed in their professional sphere. Every day bailiffs are involved into «debtor-claimer» relationship, which makes them participate in conflict situations where one should effectively resolve the contradiction, as well as enforce the judgment. High level of burnout in the profession raises the question of stress coping strategies and value orientations of bailiffs. Value orientations allow the subject to cope with difficult life situations in ways adequate to its characteristics and situation. Bailiffs often have an internal locus of control. Bailiffs, who have a high level of meaningfulness of life, who set goals for the future, have an internal locus of control; can control themselves and their lives.
