Eddy Current Transducers for Finding Defects in Metal — Insulator — Metal
Eddy current transducer is designed to search for defects in layered structures of the metal -insulator-metal. A scheme developed by the converter. The principle of operation of the sensor , built on the basis of the developed converter. Contains technical information about the sensor with the most important parameters. Shows the main characteristics of the created sensors. A scheme of the sensor control using a personal computer and developed by the authors of the software. Shows the basic information about the software . The interaction of software and developed an eddy current transducer. This article describes the results from defects in layered structures of the metal — insulator — metal . Describes the types of major defects in the media such as metal — insulator — metal. Researches dependence of the response transducer for a layered medium with a defect . As a comparison, the research field of the layered medium without defect. Results are presented as a spectral pattern. Made deciphering the basic elements of the spectral pattern here. Based on these results conclusions about the possibility of using an eddy current transducer for finding defects in layered structures.
