Analysis of Statistical Data from Asynchronous Telemedicine Network
The main purpose of the study is to support a telemedicine system and automation of processes of asynchronous telemedicine consultations between doctors from different medical institutions. The telemedicine system is a complex distributed structure and consists of many different subsystems. One of the subsystems is designed for monitoring and analysis of statistical data. Throughout the existence of a telemedicine network, more than 16,000 consultations have been conducted, and sufficiently large amounts of data have been accumulated. Traditional analysis tools for processing the data presented in a form of relation database tables are unable to build dependencies between parameters flexibly. The concept of multidimensional data analysis is closely related to the concept of online analytical processing OLAP. Large number of conducted consultations makes the task of building and searching for dependencies quite complicated. The system of statistical data monitoring and analysis is based on real-time analytical processing technology. It greatly simplifies the process of retrieving data for the telemedicine network users and allows flexible data visualization. A software developer for the telemedicine network of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug is the Ugra Research Institute of Information Technologies.
