The Experience of the Economy in the Introduction of Scientific Achievements of Universities: Lessons for Russia
Russian economy faces the difficult task of entering the path of innovative development. This should be the basis of the economic growth of the country and its national security. This changes the role of universities that have become not only a source of highly qualified personnel, but also scientific research. In this regard, Russia can take advantage of the USA experience. The U. S. is the leader of the world economy mainly due to the high dynamics of scientific research and the speed of implementation of their results in all areas of life. Much of the scientific research is done at universities. The country has significant experience in the implementation of scientific achievements in the economy of the universities. Combining educational and scientific research processes ensures their mutual enrichment, the ability to quickly create innovative economic development at the expense of, first, the availability of the results of university research for business, the second, through the creation of a highly skilled workforce, not just knowing the latest achievements of science and technology, but also able to independently conduct research and create new knowledge. Successful American system is based on a high budget funding of the educational and scientific research processes in universities, reliable protection of intellectual property, enabling its authors with well-developed corporate science. In this case, the main purpose of universities is to provide quality educational services on the basis of scientific research. Trying to partially transfer this experience to the Russian high schools can not produce the desired results because they do not meet the basic conditions in the United States.
