The Effect of Color-Stimulation on Situational Anxiety and Mental Efficiency of First Year Students
It is known that higher education (especially in the initial period) is accompanied by a deterioration of the organism and increasing anxiety of students due to the fact that a person is in a new social environment, changing lifestyle, increased training load, etc. This circumstance requires strengthening of preventive and corrective work aimed at reducing the influence of these factors, especially for the first-year students. Promising is the use of this simple, low-costing, scientifically based methods and tools, which include audiovisual stimulation methods. However, existing methods do not take into account the individual characteristics of a person, which reduces their effectiveness. The present work researches the influence of photostimulation on the situation anxiety and the mental efficiency of students. The study was conducted using two different methods: frequency range, time of the photo stimulation and color’s effects. As a result, it has been was found that the use of monochrome and polychrome photostimulation, considering the individual’s preferences, makes it possible for a very short time (2 minutes) to normalize situation anxiety and increase mental performance of students.
