Primary School Students’ Social Intellect in Context of School Anxiety
The article is devoted to the relevant problem of theory and practice of psychological science — social intellect. It is noted, that social intellect is the factor of adequate and successful social interaction people. This problem is of particular importance in primary school age, but for some reasons, one of which is primary school students’ anxiety, social adaptation reduces. The results of the research of primary school students’ (10–11 years old, the Barnaul municipal educational institution «High School № 22») social intellect with a different level of school anxiety are presented. The peculiarity of interaction between the components of social intellect and school anxiety is analyzed. The conclusion is made, that primary school students with high anxiety adapt themselves harder to the different systems of social interaction due to the fear of self-expression and the orientation on the importance of others in the evaluation of their results, actions and thoughts. Primary school students’ social intellect with low rates of school anxiety stimulates successful adaptation to the different forms of participation in social life.
