Emergence and Primary Spreading of Stirrups with Loop (Chronological and Ethnocultural Aspects)

The work is an attempt to research early types of stirrups with loop from archaeological complexes of the Altai-Sayan region and adjacent territories. Results of the carried-out analysis of known materials allow to claim that the earliest stirrups with loop are founded in monuments of Kyzyl-Tashs stage of Turkic culture of Altai (2nd half of Vth - 1st half of VIth centuries AD), and their emergence in adjacent territories in later time is connected with distribution of this community.
