Based on the author’s scheme of geological and geomorphological structure of mountain areas in the Altai inside of the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, China and Mongolia, a comparative mapping of appropriate structures’ formation was carried out in order to study the homogeneity of both. Contrary to popular belief of their unity and homogeneity the main distinctions in the formation of geologic and geomorphologic complexes that cause significantly limit scope and timing morphotectonics analysis are researched.
