This work aims at building monitoring system that controls and collects data for weather parameters. A distinctive feature of the system is the use of the known solutions in its database structure, fully oriented to store large amounts of data with high time resolution. Another feature is the use of new approaches for data compression and extrapolation of the observed processes for timely detection and prediction of emergency situations.
