Deprival of Electoral Rights during the Election Campaign to the Soviets of 1928-1929 in the Povolzhje National Regions (on the Example of Rural Areas in Mordovia and Tatarstan)
The article is dedicated to the details of conducting a campaign for re-election to the Soviets in 1928-1929. The emphasis is placed on the Povolzhje national regions, particularly on rural areas in Mordovia and Tatarstan. The author provides examples of numerous violations of electoral legislature in the Soviet State, determines the reasons. Quantity data about persons deprived of electoral rights throughout the country as well as separately in the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, Mordovia and Tatarstan are provided.
