Development of River Transport System in the Eastern Siberia during P.A. Stolypin Reform (1906-1917)
The author illustrates activity of the General Meeting about means of communication in Irkutsk in 1906, measures of the P.A. Stolypins government on an improvement of navigation on a number of Siberian rivers: Chulym, Angara, Selenga, Stony Tunguska and lake Baikal, aspiration of some Russian officials and public figures to reconstruct Ob-Yenisei Channel and to create network of other channels which waterway would connect Siberia and European Russia.
