Given article is devoted to generalization of experience of the election campaign of 1989. It examines the process of the organization of elections of People#s Deputies of the USSR under new selective laws.

The author used as sources a various material - the state archives, periodicals, the scientific literature. It has allowed to allocate features of elective campaign at its various stages in regions of the Russian Federation and, first of all, in Western Siberia. Platforms of candidates for People#s Deputies of the USSR are brought up in the article and methods of political strike between various representatives are defined. These methods essentially differed from the previous election campaigns. They will form the basis for development of selective technologies at elections now.
