Social Stratification and Ethnic Structure of Turkic Population of the Middle Irtysh Region in the Beginning of XVIII Century (on Materials of the Dozornaya Kniga (the Survey Book) of Tara Uyezd (District), 1701)

In the article the author recognized and investigated the basic social categories and ethnic components of Turkic population of the Tara Uyezd (District) which has developed to the beginning of XVIII century. Main source of research is the Dozornaya Kniga (the Survey Book) of Tara Uyezd (District), 1701.
The book contains lists of all the male population in settlements and farmsteads together with the area of arable land, hayfields, and other grounds in their possession; also the form of landownership.
In the article the author investigated ethnic identification of the population based on the registration of the markers connected with the ethno - social status (anthroponomy, affiliation with definite social groups, places of residence and grounds used by the population, where the recent migrants come from).
