The cultural basis of the modern political process in Russia was formed during all the history. Radical social changes always influenced the spiritual sphere. Most of the basic terms, behavior stereotypes, principles and values of political culture are still kept nowadays. The key issue is to study the process of formation of a power image in people#s mind. It dates back to Kiev Russia epoch. The most important stage of formation of a political ideology was adopting of Christianity. In the literature of Ancient Russia the image of power was being formed. Firstly, the power of the governor was unique and blessed. Secondly, his policy should be based on the truth. Thirdly, the basic way of preserving the power was the principle of close love to each other. It was also based on the Christianity moral. All these ideals were fixed in the political conscience and culture of Russia.
