This article is devoted to the problem of political parties legitimacy in Russian society nowadays. Using the comparative analysis of empiric research results, the author tries to estimate the influence of the major political parties in regions on the people#s idea of their importance and role in the society. It is possible to come to the conclusion that general political trends have gained popularity with the Russians in the latest decade. It leads to some changes in the people#s attitude to political parties as national social institutions as well as regional ones (Altai Territory in particular).
