Ethnosocial Organization and Political History of the Ubykh People in Literature and Historiography

The Ubykh people are one of the indigenous nations on the North-Western Caucasis. By the end of the 19th century they were settled down on the territory of the Present-day Sochi between the rivers Shakhe and Khosta. On the final stages of the resistance to the Russians imperial conquests they headed the liberation movement.
The article is dedicated to the classification and the analysis of the scientific and the up-to date literature on the given problem.
