The urgency of the given research on the generated problematic is connected with the intensive development of tourism in the modern world and also is required by the modern society for the restoration of an objective picture of the past. With the view of the further optimization of the structures connected with the organization of tourism in Western Siberia, it is necessary to address to studying its historical experience. Especially large opportunities in this matter represent materials of the Center of storage of archival fund of Altai Territory. The urgency of the problem of revival and development of tourism on the territory of Altai Region and Republic Altai still exists. The practical importance of the given research consists of the opportunity of use of the actual material and conclusions of the given research in a writing of generalizing works on history of tourism of Western Siberia.
