A Complex Analysis of the Belt Buckles of the Altai Nomads from Xianbei-Zhuzhan Time (Based on Materials from the Burial Stepushka-I)
This article is devoted to comprehensive presentation of the results obtained by the researching of belt buckles from the burial mound of the Bulan-Koby culture which is known as Stepushka-I, excavated in 2010 in Ongudai region in the Altai Republic. The obtained collection of artifacts consists of 13 specimens. During working out the classification it has been allocated five types of belt buckles. Typological analysis of these products is allowed to define their dating and genesis. Comparative study of material tend to show that development of belt buckles from the Altai nomads was influenced by Central Asian fashion belt headset and had a certain originality in comparison with the evolution of Europeans equipment.
