While planning an investment project, it is useful to know that an important role is played by a problem concerning an expertise of investment projects in order to clear up expected profitability of a project. This problem becomes even more important when a new project is about developing new types of businesses, purchasing new production facilities, introducing new products into a product assortment and under other circumstances involving projects with high level of uncertainty information. The problem of usefulness of an expertise of investment projects is examined in the article depending on a degree of reduction of an interval of uncertainty when making a decision about reasonability of realization of a project. MS Excel has been used in order to solve the question.
