Forecasting of Grain Crops Productivity on Basis of the Remote Sounding Data and Bio-productivity Modeling

It is offered to use the EPIC bio-productivity updated model for forecasting grain crops productivity. Input data blocks are changed according to solar radiation and soil temperature. Correction of LAI leaf index in step-by-step EPIC model is fulfilled basing on space images or on the results of soil measurements for certain time of plants development in forecasting periods of biological productivity. The technology allows us to predict periods of biological maturing of the main summer grain crops and optimal periods of the beginning of harvesting. The productivity forecast is produced a month before the beginning of harvesting to within 1-2 center/hectare.
