Since the end of the cold war the USA have become one of the leading participants in international relations, which is actively claiming to become a leader. However with the fall of the bipolar system international relations have become much more complicated. Many actors have started to call USA leadership in question. The article deals with some of the main polarity theories and analyzes possible problems of the American domination and their impact on the international system.
