Trade and Industrial Relations between Ural and Germany in 1900-1914

Considerable changes took place in the Ural Region in the first half of the XXth century: plants and factories were building, old plants were reconstructing. West-European countries like Germany, England, France and many others had a significant influence on the development of the economy and industry. Delivery of goods to the Ural reached its maximal level in 1912-1913 and amounted to 13.5 million rubles, including 2 million imported rubles. From the total volume of goods imported to the Ural, 70% were manufactured products and 30% - consumer goods. Farm products, production of mining and chemical industry as well as timber composed the main item of export from the Ural in that period.
