This article is devoted to Tashtypski Epiphany. It was a consequence of the schism in the Russian Orthodox Church in a period of 1920s. Then P. Kuzhakov claimed that in May 24, 1926 he had seen Jesus Christ, who had told him about the end of Soviet power and also he had forbidden him to enter communist party and Komsomol. This incident led to open conflict between the party of patriarch Tikhon (they believed in the Kuzhakov's story) and supporters of obnovlencheski current (they thought this story was a provocation of Tikhon's party). Provincial authorities decided to use this conflict in order to undermine the position of Tikhon's party once and for all.
